Heartsink.

Dress - New Look
Cardigan - F+F (old)
Shoes - Red or Dead @ Schuh (old)
Hair bow - Dorothy Perkins

These photos were taken at my boyfriend's flat which will probably become a frequent back drop for photos as it is a vast improvement on a brown kitchen door behind me. This is what I wore to meet some friends for a birthday lunch at a little cupcake Cafe in town the other week. It is my favourite place to eat, I will need to capture some good quality photos on my camera of the cupcakes. This cardigan I got for my birthday many years ago, (I think it might have been my 19th!) It is my favourite cardigan and will probably frequent outfit posts often. Also goes to show that supermarket clothes can last a long time! I love these brogues but they feel rather heavy on my feet (does anyone else get that?) and sometimes pinch my heel but with some heel saving tricks I have picked up they will stop being bad to my poor foot. This was also my first attempt at a bun using a bun doughnut, it is a bit too messy but then again it won't help that my hair is in dire need of a hair cut!

Today's post title is from Brighton band Blood Red Shoes - Heartsink. I do love the video as all the people in the video are fans of Blood Red Shoes, They told fans they could be in the video buy sending in photos of their unusual items given by former lovers that they wanted to wreck and it looks like it was a fun thing to do.

Currently lusting..

1) Purple Peter Pan Ponte Dress - Matalan. 2) MARGE Black Leather Mary Janes - Topshop. 3) Black Heart Back Skater Dress - Dorothy Perkins. 4) Nails In Razzmatazz - Topshop. 5) Dark Red Twist Knit Heart Jumper - New Look.
(click on the image to get a bigger image or click the links to view items, still trying to get to grips with layouts and sizings)

This is a very small selection of things that I am currently lusting after, my list is always rather long. The heart theme is kind of by accident. I am a sucker for things with hearts on them. It is also very rare that I am lusting after things in Topshop that are not ridiculous prices and in my size.

1. I originally was after the black version with a cream collar but then I saw this purple one on the website and it is just perfect for me. Purple is my favourite colour and I do love peter pan collars. It is a very reasonable £14 but due to being a poor jobless graduate I will have to wait until it's in the sale or steal my mum's Matalan voucher!

2. I did love those t-bar shoes that a lot of bloggers seemed to have and did hope to spy some in the sale but I never saw any, probably sold out due to their popularity. These are also very cute and unlike many things in Topshop I would pay the £35 for these (if I had £35 that is) as they have a think sole and seem like they would last. I will just have to try them on in store.

3. The heart back dress has been about for awhile and there has been some beautiful ones around but they never went up to my size or cost a fortune to ship over from America on top of an already large price tag. For this style £36 is reasonable as I have seen much more being charged for them. I have got this bookmarked so I can keep checking for it going into the sale has DP often frequently update their sales.

4. This nail polish does not look very impressive in this photo, but it is dazzling in store and brighter purples and blues in the glitter. I might treat myself to this on my next day trip up to Glasgow as my local store is tiny and doesn't have a make up stand.I don't even have anything from the Topshop make-up range yet.

5. I am aware that jumpers with giant hearts are not a new thing. I was lusting after a Red Herring number last year but I think I tried it on and was very much underwhelmed. I love that it is a much more subtle design than other I have seen as the twisting between black and dark red doesn't make the black heart in your face. It would be a nice addition to both cream and black outfits.

She's the Strawberry Girl.

Dress - Inspire at New Look
Cardigan - Dorothy Perkins

 Shoes - Asos
 Necklace (old) - Topshop
Bracelet - vintage fair
Ring (old) - Accessorize

I figured out why my photos would upload, they needed re-sized first something I always forget about, silly me! This is what I wore to a small party at a friend's house last night. The full length photo was taken at about 2am when I got home, luckily I was pretty much sober. The other photos were taken afterwards as an after thought. I should probably confess that I am a total sale addict. I very very rarely buy something full priced, unless I am totally in love with it and find it worth the price. I couldn't find the link for the dress but there are some lovely other colour options in the same style. I might even need to get the dark red lace dress when it's on sale. I bought the dress way back at the beginning of July but the other day while in New Look there were still some purple and white lace dresses lurking in the sale rail so best to have a rummage in your local store if you are after it.

I picked up the bracelet for a mere £1 at little Vintage fair in a bar/club in Glasgow. The ring is was a birthday present from one of my best friends Claire a few years ago (maybe 2008?), I still love it! I hope to get more interesting backgrounds for outfit photos than my kitchen door, especially seeing as my boyfriend has nominated himself my photographer!

Today's post title is lyrics from  Siouxsie & the Banshees' - Christine, thought it was appropriate due to being my first post and that I have strawberries on my shoes.

A little introduction

My name is Christine, I am 22 and if you're reading this first post then you've probably worked out that I am new to the world of writing blogs, so much so that I have yet to work out how to put photos in a post! I had visions of a lovely first post with photos and text but having failed that and not wanting to leave this blank thought I better write something here as the people I have followed might come for a look.

I am never really sure what to say in a first post so here's what I hope to do with this little space on the internet; post some outfit photos which will hopefully encourage me to alternate this in my wardrobe and be a bit more inventive; post about music and films on certain days. This is if i can work out how to make posts interesting.

If I have already followed you then I will have been reading for awhile and is the main reason I have made one myself is so I can feel less creepy reading silently and actually leave comments.

This has been a disappointing first post and very uninteresting.
